A love of art and a deisre to brighten up the walls has led to a permanent rolling art exhibition where artists exhibit their work for three months at a time. Essentially led by modern art, each exhibition is opened with a special preview evening, where artist invite guests who are treated to wine and nibbles. All art work is available to purchase and recent artists have enjoyed successful sales.
The current exhibition "The Gilded Cage" by Guy Hetherington will run until 26th October.
Guy was born in Penrith, Cumbria in 1948 to Aonlo-Russian parents. After leaving school he spent one year at Sussex university studying the History and Theory of Art beofre leaving to go to Kingston School of Art where he spent four years studying fine art.
He was visiting tutor at Chelsea College of Art from 1972 to 1979.
He has been working in London as an artist since 1972 and has taken part in many one-person and group exhibitions in Great Britain, Russia, Cyprus and Mongolia where he has a longstanding relationship with the artists' union. He has also travelled in Siberia as a guest of the Atrists' Union of Krasnoyarsk.
His work is in the collections of the British Arts Council, the Contemporary Arts Society and other public and private collections as he has completed a number of mural commissions.
