Green Meetings
We place a great deal of focus on our environmental and social commitments in order to meet the changing demands of both the event industry and wider society, implementing lasting changes which make our venue greener and improve the overall experience for staff and visitors alike.
Over the last year we have implemented a number of core strategies and systems to help meet both our internal and external targets and can report that the venue meets the following criteria:
- All written communications, brochures, menus, and invoices are produced electronically
- All meeting rooms have temperature controls to use as little resources as possible to heat/cool
- All rooms are lit by natural daylight or only use energy saving light bulbs
- Water is purified and bottled on site using reusable glass bottles
- We only serve Fairtrade tea and coffee
- All waste materials are sorted and recycled
- Menus use sustainable and locally sourced ingredients wherever possible
- All AV equipment is sourced from our in-house supplier, saving on transport
